• Experience deploying and operating on public and private cloud frameworks;
• Experience in using vSphere.
• Familiarity with service design in the context of cloud-based solutions
• Stay current with new technologies and techniques as appropriate
• Knowledge of ITIL functions and processes
• Kubernetes certification is considered an asset
Key Responsibilities
• Automating Processes: Focus on automating tasks that need to be repeated, ensuring efficiency and reducing manual intervention.
• Support Developers: Provide support for Developers in in their day-to-day work, related to the services offered.
• Migrating to Containers: Oversee the migration of products to container technologies such as Kubernetes, including the use of provisioning platforms like vRealize Automation.
• Legacy Architecture Review: Reverse engineer the legacy architecture to understand key flows and identify weaknesses in terms of security, performance, reliability, simplicity, and operational agility.
• Designing Solutions: Collaborate with technical and solution architects as well with operational teams to redesign and address the identified weaknesses, ensuring the new systems are robust, secure, and performant.
• Continuous Delivery Pipeline: Participate in the transformation of the Data Center to achieve a fully automated Continuous Delivery pipeline, including build, deployment, monitoring, and resilience processes.
• Security and Reliability: Ensure that there are no unresolved legacy issues related to security, reliability, performance, or operational agility within the data centre environment.
• Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Address customers and express difficult technical details effectively to non-technical audiences, guide junior engineers in cloud best practices.
• Cloud and Infrastructure Management: Work with cloud providers (AWS, OVH) and leverage cloud technologies, Kubernetes architecture, and virtualization frameworks to ensure scalability and operational effectiveness.
• Service Operations and Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all operational and support processes and automate repetitive tasks where possible. Be prepared to handle 24/7 on-call support in a shift-based mode.

About the Role
We are currently looking for a DevOps Support Engineer. It is a developer adopter of virtualization, containers, and cloud infrastructure. In a DevSecOps way, you should love to automate everything that needs to be done more than once and will oversee migrating products using container technology such as Kubernetes and provisioning platforms such as vRealize Automation. Your scope will also embrace reverse engineering of the legacy architecture and key flows, and understand its key weaknesses and readiness such as security, reliability, simplicity, performance, operational agility, and automation.
