preferred qualifications
- Experience driving technology transformations with large customers in the Financial Sector, Telco or conglomerates is a MUST
- Track record of architecting production-grade systems and solutions addressing complex real-world customer requirements from On-Premise systems to hyper-scale cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, standards and methodologies (e.g. TOGAF, O-AA), ITIL, ITSM, Microservices, API Design and Security Frameworks
- Strong background in moving enterprise Oracle workloads to the cloud – SOA, BPEL, Weblogic and other on-premise systems
- Solid technical knowledge of Data Management and Big Data architectures. Experience with the Oracle Database is a must along with good exposure to other DBMS and NoSQL systems – Postgres, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis
- Strong knowledge of different design patterns and architecture styles (REST, gRPC) –
- Design and develop standards for cloud adoption and building scale models for the CoE – Maturity Assessments and migration Methodologies. Well-Architected Frameworks, Operational Readiness Assessments, and such
- Exposure to DevOps/DevSecOps, Containerization, and Kubernetes expertise is highly desirable as is good exposure to IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible)
- Knowledge of Operating Systems, Protocols and Tools
About role
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Architect, having at least 15-20 years of both business sense and deep technical hands-on expertise in driving technology transformation initiatives with large and strategic organizations. You have great communication skills and can interact at all levels (CIO, CTO, Product Engineering, IT Architects, and developers). The job requires you to engage cross-functional teams in highly matrixed environments to drive customer adoption of OCI. You will be accountable and empowered to drive building innovative experiences in a fast-paced, startup-like environment. Success is measured by providing the field and customers with world-class technical subject matter expertise and driving the following outcomes.

- Sets overall strategy for Cloud in the account working with x-LOB architects in the account and its subsidiaries, to drive cloud growth.

- Be the point of contact for the technical lifecycle – Workshops, Escalations and communication

- As part of Cloud Sales Framework, accountable for Cloud Engineering Technical Qualification criteria. To drive consistent collaboration, enabling solution engineering & sales leadership to gain both commercial and technical insight into the deal cycle driving focus and investment on qualified opportunities
- Responsible for a full adoption lifecycle, from project concept to usage and expansion within the customer – captured, tracked and executed via a Technical Account Plan. Alignment with the account team and various stakeholders across the Oracle ecosystem – Development, Cloud Engineering, and Customer Success support is critical to the success of the role
- Monitor the Customer Adoption Health – Workloads, Pipeline, Consumption and Outcomes
